Lighting ~ Friday Rehearsal Dinner
We're thinking a soft amber glow around the perimeter of the room for Friday's dinner, some lantern centerpiece arrangements. Our awesome event coordinator will provide the uplights and some vases/votives for the tables, so thankfully we won't need to spend too much on decor for this dinner anymore.
Post-Wedding Update
The lighting looked really pretty! Just a warm glow around the room for a simple dinner. I have no pics. :(
Lighting ~ Ceremony Lighting
I doubt I'll be able to contribute much input to the way lighting is done for the ceremony, but I really like when lights are dimmed during certain parts of a Mass or ceremony.
Twilight obsession aside, I think a mandap decorated in lights would look so pretty. Imagine how hot it would get though!

Post-Wedding Pics
With the morning wedding, we stuck to a candle-lit and warm glow. Horrible runner aside, I thought it looked beautiful!
With the afternoon ceremony, we were limited to Church lighting as per Church rules. Considering the beauty of St. Patrick, I was a-ok with this.

Perimeter Lighting ~ Reception
I know there are tons of different options for uplighting, as well as a more expensive LED option where you can change the colors throughout the reception. As of now, we'll most likely go with one color. Without having seen them all, the one that really stands out to me is this sort of blush color uplighting.
UPDATE: We're leaning towards LED lighting because I believe we can get a better deal than I originally thought. I love that we can now change from a soft color like the blush or a lavender to a vibrant color like the purple below throughout the night.

Lighting Trial
During my floral trial, I saw a few uplights that I liked for the main perimeter color. I am now considering the following colors: blush, bright pink, purple, blue, or light amber. Way to narrow it down, Tina. I'm going to check out different events with the above lighting before making a final decision.
Post-Wedding Pics
The lighting around the room varied from lilac to violet, and pink to magenta over the course of the evening. Once dancing started, the lighting changed constantly to a rainbow of colors.
A gobo was cut for the dance floor using one of our monograms, and couple graphic elements were directed onto the ceiling.

Centerpiece Lighting
For one of our reception centerpieces, I want to really focus on pretty lighting. I'm a sucker for chandeliers, but the Rotunda doesn't have any. So I thought I would bring more of a candlelit glow to some of the tables.

Candles, Candles, Everywhere...
I'm not really a clear votive kind of girl. So I've purchased a bunch of various patterned and colored votives, from Moroccan-inspired to mercury glass to opal embossed. I'm also incorporating a little Asian inspiration with elephant tealight holders and lotus tealight holders.
