Other Events ~ Engagement Party
Our engagement celebration included a small ceremony in Dhru's family home in Georgia, followed by a lunch reception at an amazing Indian restaurant. I met a lot of family and friends, and felt so unbelievably welcome. Did I mention the food was amazing?
Other Events ~ Bachelorette Party
We took a majority vote on where to go for the bachelorette party, and most of the girls wanted to do Vegas! The girls found a good deal at the Venetian Hotel. To top it off, we are going on Halloween weekend. Should be fun times.
Party Pics
The bachelorette party weekend in Vegas was a dream weekend with some of my bestest friends. Planned by my MOHs, the itinerary was just perfect, with a low key night of dinner and Coyote Ugly Thursday night; shopping and roaming on Friday; dinner, a show, and going out on Friday night(Body English...it was the BEST!); Brunch, Scavenger Hunt, and Champagne Lingerie Party on Saturday; and dinner and Halloween party at Tao on Saturday night. I seriously have some of the best friends in the world. They made the weekend so special!

Other Events ~ Bridal Shower
My wonderful aunts and cousins are throwing me a bridal shower tea luncheon in November. They're doing a pink theme.
Aaaand that's about all I know. BUT, my mom and I have insisted on helping out with food. Tea sandwiches will be fun to make. =)
Bridal Shower Registry
Dhru and I decided not to do a registry for a variety of reasons, but we did have a small one of just china for the bridal shower. Here's what we (and by "we" I mean me and my mom) chose.

Other Events ~ Thursday Dinner/Roast w/ Friends
Dhru and I really want to organize a dinner that will give our friends an opportunity to tease us BEFORE the main receptions. For this Roast Event Spectacular, we plan on reserving a room at a fun Mexican restaurant.
While I can't go overboard on decorations, I thought about setting up 3 or 4 arrangements of fun flowers. Using inexpensive vases, I plan on getting a couple warm and bright mixed flower arrangements from the grocery store. Along with a couple bunches of blue hydrangea from Field of Flowers, I'll split them up, arrange and pop them in the vases and viola!
Hopefully I'll think of some creative ways to make this event decorative and fun....Dhru thinks my idea of bride and groom pinatas might be dangerous after margaritas, so we'll see!
POST-WEDDING UPDATE: This event didn't happen...we felt weird excluding certain people, and if we included everyone, we felt like people wouldn't be free to roast us as they wanted to. I was actually still working on wedding stuff on Thursday night, and Dhru and a lot of our friends went out to South Beach for a little while. They had so much fun, which I was so happy to hear!

Honeymoon
Ok, yeah, this doesn't actually count as a party(well, maybe for the two of us), but it seemed the most appropriate section without having to make a new one. After a lot of help from Knotties like Ursula and Sara, Dhru ended up choosing and booking a trip to Punta Cana. It was the most relaxing trip ever...we barely took any pics, but here are a couple.
Atlanta Reception
After our wedding, towards the end of March, Dhru's parents threw us a weekend reception in a suburb of Atlanta near where they live. Dhru's parents(now mine too!) and sister did such a great job with the planning. Here are just a few pics(more on Facebook!)
