Invitation

Our Invitation Suite consists of:
Reception card
Wedding cards
RSVP card and envelope
Directions card (for locals)
I can't get my pictures to do these invites justice.  The paper is nice and heavy with a great texture, the floral design is raised and has smooth little crystals in the centers that we applied ourselves.  The colors of the design are a shimmery pearl...when you angle it one way it looks silver, when you angle it another it looks light gold.  The darker outline around the design is an antique gold.

For liners, we couldn't decide between metallic pearl and gold.  I think the pearl is classic, while the gold gives a great Indian vibe to it.  My mom loves the gold.  They both match perfectly, so we decided to use both for different groups(family/family friends get gold, mine and Dhru's friends pearl)

And they're off!!!!

We started mailing out batches last week.  We sent out large batches for the out-of-towners, and will send all local ones in the next couple days.  We found a great local calligrapher to do the envelopes for a very good price!

We wanted to do personalized stamps, but it just was not in the budget.  So we got the wedding band stamps for the response card envelopes, and these cake ones for the main envelopes.  They match the invites perfectly.

Programs

Picture
We basically followed the format for my cousin Julie's beautiful programs...she did a lot of the work for her own wedding a year before, so all the credit goes to her.  We changed the design on the front of the booklets to reflect the design of our own wedding invitation and monogram.  Our design was a lot simpler, and not as beautiful as Jul's, but I still love it.  It's elegant and romantic, and the final printed versions came with gold tassles.

For the Hindu ceremony, we used a fuschia monogram, and for the Catholic ceremony, we used the same monogram in gold.
To save money, we applied the self-stick kundan stones to all our programs and invitations ourselves...it was a long process, but so worth it!

Escort Cards

Picture
Our escort cards were also simple and elegant in style.  We had mini envelopes attached to the favors, and each envelope had the guest's name and each card insert had the table number.  This allowed us some flexibility with last minute cancellations and any table switches that needed to be done.  Everything was written in the antique gold ink of our invitations by our wonderful calligrapher.

Menus

Picture
We tied in one of our monograms and our invitation font/colors into our menu design.  It was a pretty simple menu, but with everything else going on its simplicity was perfect.

Monograms

See below for our monogram collection.  As with all her new designs, Nicole at Pink Design Events blogged about it here.  Her blog is great, as it allows you to visualize monograms you like in different color schemes.  I'll likely be adding a few more monograms to this collection!
How did we use these monograms?  Let me count the ways!  We followed the rule of not using the "G" for elements prior to the wedding ceremonies.  So we used the top two monograms for items such as wedding invitations, wedding website, ceremony programs, "Reserved" seating signage, etc.  The bottom left monogram was perfect for round stickers we used on the hotel welcome baskets, welcome packet folders, and believe it or not, unity candle!  The middle one on the right was the perfect header for our menus, and as the footer on the photo booth strips guests took home.  The design was also used partially for our cake topper!  The bottom right monogram added the perfect metallic punch to white cocktail napkins, and to the "Do Not Disturb" Signs guests found in their hotel packets.  For guests driving home after the reception, they found a surprise in their cars...valet tags thanking them them for joining us, with a faint background image using the middle left monogram.
